Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the use of our website, public demonstrations and learning resources. Separate written agreements govern commissioned services.

1. About us and these terms

Ownmentor Ltd, company number 13515932. Registered office: 10 Carnoustie Court, Sutton Bridge, PE12 9QP, United Kingdom. Email: info@ownmentor.com.

“OwnMentor”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Ownmentor Ltd. “You” means the person using this website. Please read these terms before using an interactive tool or downloading resources. If you do not agree to them, do not use those features. If you use a service for an organisation, you must have authority to do so.

The website describes our services and provides demonstrations and resources. It does not itself create a paid subscription or commit us to deliver a commissioned tool. The scope, price, support, usage allowances, data handling and duration of a paid service must be agreed separately. Any mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

2. What the tools are for

Our tools support learning, preparation, practice and reflection about workplace skills. AI tools generate responses automatically. They can misunderstand your situation, give incomplete information or produce confident errors. Responses are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, suitable or unique.

Use your judgement, check material facts and adapt suggestions before acting. A tool is not a substitute for professional advice, your organisation’s policies, a qualified human coach, or an appropriately authorised decision-maker. It must not be used as the sole basis for a decision about someone’s employment, eligibility, rights or access to an opportunity.

Our tools are intended for adults in professional and workplace contexts. They are not emergency, medical, legal, financial or therapeutic services.

3. Responsible use

Use the website and tools lawfully, within any stated usage limits and for their intended purpose. Do not:

For commissioned tools, additional permitted-use rules may be set out in the client agreement or programme instructions. Describe examples using fictional details or non-identifying roles wherever possible.

4. Access and availability

The public demo does not require an OwnMentor member account. Client pages may be shared through unlisted links. An unlisted link does not verify identity or prevent someone forwarding it. Please share programme links and resources only as authorised by the programme sponsor.

Tools can be unavailable because of maintenance, capacity limits, provider outages, changes to a programme or suspension of an agreement. A suspended programme remains suspended until we confirm reactivation. No service level or ongoing free access is promised by these website terms.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, meet legal obligations or give effect to the relevant client agreement. Any paid-service rights are governed by that agreement and applicable law.

5. Your content, AI output and our materials

You retain the rights you have in information you submit. You give us and the service providers needed to operate the tool permission to process that information for the requested interaction and related lawful service operation, as explained in the privacy notice and any applicable client agreement. These terms do not transfer ownership of your original content to us.

You may use outputs supplied to you for your legitimate learning and work purposes, subject to third-party rights and applicable law. We cannot promise that output is original, exclusive or free of third-party rights. Check it before distributing it or using it commercially.

Unless stated otherwise, the website’s branding, original content, tool designs and learning materials belong to us or our licensors. You may read them and make reasonable personal working copies. Programme materials are for the intended participants’ use. Do not resell them, publish them openly, or distribute them beyond the permitted group without the rights-holder’s permission. Third-party materials remain subject to their own terms.

6. Privacy and third-party services

Our privacy notice explains how information is handled. Interactive tools use external providers, including Voiceflow where identified. Provider outages or changes may affect their operation.

Choosing to open an external link takes you to another organisation’s service, with its own terms and privacy arrangements. A reference or link is not a guarantee of its content or availability. Closing a tool does not necessarily erase provider logs or transcripts.

7. Responsibility and liability

We will exercise reasonable care in providing the website and services for which we are responsible. You are responsible for checking outputs and for decisions or actions you take using them. We do not guarantee a particular learning, business, recruitment or performance outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or rights that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

If you use the site as a consumer, your statutory rights remain unaffected. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.

For business users, and to the extent the law permits, we are not liable under these website terms for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings. Liability for a commissioned or paid service should be addressed in its separate agreement; these website terms do not replace that agreement.

8. Changes, concerns and governing law

We may update these terms as the website or services change. The version displayed when you use a feature applies to that use. Changes to a paid agreement follow that agreement’s change process.

Please send concerns or complaints to info@ownmentor.com, describing the issue without unnecessary personal or confidential information. We will consider it and respond as appropriate.

These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain any mandatory rights to the law and courts of the country where they normally live. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
